The EA Games developers working on The Sims 4 have taken a transparent approach towards talking about their upcoming game, preferring to reveal every detail about the upcoming title instead of keeping it undisclosed and locked behind a vault of secrecy.
There’s little doubt that the company is embracing its new policy of transparency with The Sims 4, disclosed here in an interview with EA CEO Andrew Wilson.
Lyndsay Pearson, Senior Producer on The Sims 4, took to twitter to answer a whole bunch of questions about the game. Here are a few notable things she revealed:
- Sims will be able to breastfeed their infants.
- Sims will be able to paint paintings created by members of the game’s development team.
- Kids will also be able to create art, such as macaroni art. This artwork was inspired by the doodles and art created by kids belonging to members of the development team.
- Teen Sims can complain about their parents.
- There are going to be many collectible items in the game.
- It’s possible to build a rocket and go on space adventures. You might bring back money, space rocks, or crash while coming home.
- If your Sims own an observatory object you can listen in on the Sim in the rocket. You don't go into space with them.
In addition to answering questions on Twitter, EA Games has also taken to celebrating the world cup with The Sims 4 in this newly released image of characters from the upcoming game watching a game of football. Check it out above. They’ve also published 9 images of the kinds of characters you can create in the game, seen below.
