The first three Fallout games, Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, have made a return to Steam after a six month absence from the publishing platform. They were taken off Steam at the end of 2013 due to a licensing dispute between Bethesda and Interplay.
The titles were also removed from gOG and other digital stores after Interplay lost the rights to sell the games.
Bethesda, which then gained the rights to sell the classic titles, pledged to return them to stores as soon as it was able, and today they have made good on their promise.
Each game costs $9.99 individually and can be bought as part of a Fallout Classics pack for $19.99. The games have also been discounted to $4.99 each, with the bundle costing $12.99 until June 30.
All three games have Steam Cloud enabled for save games, and Fallout and Fallout 2 can be launched in either default or classic versions, with the former allowing for high resolution graphics. Both Fallout and its sequel are Windows 8 compatible, but Fallout Tactics remains unplayable on the new OS.
