In a latest Twitch stream via IGN, Planetside 2's game director Matt Higby revealed that the game will run on 1080p on the Playstation 4 at a smooth framerate and will make appearance in this year's E3.
"We were able to demonstrate all that stuff on the PS4 running at a smooth framerate, running at 1080, so we're very happy with the progress that's being made on that," he mentioned. It was unspecified what framerate he's talking about, but one can expect 60 FPS based on what he's saying.
He also revealed that the game will be at E3, but the public won't be able to play the game since the convention is a press only event. However, people will get to see hands-on videos of the game from the event. There will also be the chance to play the game at the MLG Championship Anaheim event that runs from June 20-22.
Earlier this year, we revealed a new continent for Planetside 2. Last year, we also reported on the graphic novels that will be made based on the game.
Planetside 2 was initially released on November 20, 2012 for the PC. It is scheduled to be released on the PS4 sometime this year.
