Killzone Shadow Fall StA61 Vultur Guide

February 9, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

The StA61 Vultur is a pure sniper rifle, unlike its brother, the Kameraad.

This is a guide for the StA61 Vultur in Killzone Shadow Fall.

The Vultur is a sniper rifle for the Scout Class. Unlike the Kameraad, it is best used as a sniper rifle really is. Aside from the requisite one headshot kills, it only needs two hits to kill. Damage dropoff is barely a factor, since it has one of the highest ranges in the game.

It has a 12 round helical magazine, and a rate of fire of 150 rounds per minute. Reloads will be infrequent, comparative to its class, but when you have to, they take 3.5 seconds, including the time to raise the gun back up.

Optical attachment choices for the Vultur are myriad. The default is already the excellent HGH Holo Sight, which gives 1.2 x magnifications. Next up is the HGH ACOG Sight, which raises magnification to 1.6 x. After that, you can get the 1st real sniper scope for the Vultur, the Scope X4. This scope removes all peripheral vision, but as the name suggests, you get a full 4 x magnification. Lastly, the Scope X10 sets the highest the bar with 10 x magnification.

Underbarrel attachments for the Vultur are also numerous. The Taser temporarily stuns and blinds short range enemies, so you cover any range with one gun. The Silencer makes you less visible in the minimap and allows you to skulk around, taking enemies out unaware. Finally, the E-Stun Missile is a lock on missile launcher. Its missiles send an electronic pulse that disables drones and turrets.

Recommended loadout for the Vultur is the Scope X4, Silencer. For sidearm, the StA19 Reigner, also with the Silencer. A laser tripmine and stun drones round out this loadout.
