Reddit Halo fans have posted their theories on what Master Chief will be getting up to in the next game.
User XcrytoKid commented that be believes Halo 5 will see Chief "searching for Dr. Halsey, for many reasons but mostly to have Cortana restored and I further believe that massive devil owl thing in the preview is one of the many Forerunner tech that Halsey has found with her new information and also used it to call John there."
What will be interesting to see is Chief's reaction to the news that the UNSC tried to kill Dr. Halsey and some fans have speculated that we will human-on-human conflict in Halo 5. Dr. Halsey was last seen missing an arm on a Covenant ship.
Whether or not the UNSC would dare to attack their most celebrated war hero remains to be seen.
It's also likely that Halo 5 will be darker than its predecessor, as is the usual in a trilogy cycle. However, Microsoft has confirmed that the Reclaimer trilogy, which began with Halo 4, has been turned into a "saga".
Microsoft has yet to officially confirm that the next game in the franchise will be titled Halo 5.
