The vote for EA Sports UFC’s second cover athlete is over and after more than 11 million fan votes, it’s top contender Alexander Gustafsson who will stand next to his biggest rival. This fighter will join UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon “Bones” Jones, as the first ever cover duo to grace an EA UFC game.
It’s a perfect pair, honestly, as both fighters put on what many people consider to be the fight of the year back in September. Gustafsson posed the greatest challenge that “Bones” had ever faced, taking the champion down to the mat for the first time in his career. George “Rush” St-Pierre was the other star in contention, but after his announcement earlier today that he will be stepping away from the sport indefinitely, it looks as if the UFC dodged a bullet.
