The third game in the Gears of War franchise would be amiss if it didn't also come in a collector's edition to satisfy the hardest of die-hard fans.
Gears of War 3 will come in two special editions—Limited and Epic—which should be enough to satisfy both hardcore fans of the series and gamers who like owning something special of one of the Xbox 360's top titles.
The Limited Edition contains an Octus Award Box and a zinc Octus Service Medal, carved to scale. The edition also comes with a cloth COG flag and a few of Adam Fenix's personal effects—his "Last Will and Testament," Hammer of Dawn schematics, and Fenix family mementos. Players who own the Limited Edition will be able to show off what they have with an exclusive Adam Fenix multiplayer character.
The Epic Edition contains a 11.2" tall Marcus Fenix statue constructed out of PVC, an Art and Design of Gears of War book, the Infected Open Weapon Pack—special skins for several weapons in the game—and everything from the Limited Edition.
The Epic Edition will be available for a whopping $149.99 while the Limited Edition is priced at a much more affordable $79.99.
