Resident Evil 2 Receives New R.P.D. Demo With No Time Limit, Nemesis Easter Egg Spotted

December 13, 2019 by Jordan Biazzo

Are you ready to face your fears?

Capcom has announced today that they are releasing a new demo for Resident Evil 2, which will give players no time limit.

Titled the R.P.D. demo, players will be able to explore the Racoon Police Department for as long as they want. This will be the perfect time to try out the critically acclaimed title for yourself.

If you’re new to the franchise, this might be the perfect time to jump into the series as the remake version of the game is one of the best in the entire franchise. Plus we got the official announcement that Resident Evil 3 remake is slated for April 2020.

Check out the new announcement for the R.P.D. demo down below:

In addition to the exciting news of the R.P.D. demo, Twitter user @TheSphereHunter, found a pretty neat easter egg that brings an epic tease. That tease is centered around the horrifying monster featured in Resident Evil 3 — Nemesis. In the clip down below, you can hear Nemesis in the background screaming “Staaaaaaarsss”, an iconic albeit terrifying line repeated in Resident Evil 3.

In related news, Resident Evil 3 will be getting the full-on remake treatment similar to what we saw with Resident Evil 2 earlier this year. In addition to the remake, Resident Evil 3 will also be launching with Resident Evil Resistance, a new 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe. Check out the full announcement right here!

Resident Evil 3 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020. Are you excited for the upcoming horror remake? Let us know in the comments below!
