Stasis Shows 2D Isometric Games Can Still Be Impressive

November 6, 2013 by Yesika Reyes

Support them on Kickstarter to make this sci-fi horror game a reality.

Independent game studio The Brotherhood launched the Kickstarter campaign to their upcoming 2D science-fiction horror adventure game called Stasis. It will be live until December 7th and are hoping to raise USD $100,000 or more.

"Stasis is a 2D isometric, point-and-click adventure game for PC Windows, set in the distant future on a desolate spacecraft. John Maracheck must interact and solve puzzles to save his family, while uncovering horrific experimentation, illicit research and an ever deepening mystery," the page describes.

Despite its novel design, the levels appear beautiful and there is a heightened attention to detail based on the photos and clips embedded on their page. They also plan to comission a composer for the score and professional voice actors if they raise enough funds, so it won't be a silent game. There will also be 3D cutscenes in the game if I am not mistaken.

One cool thing the developer made available is the Alpha. It is free to download on their website for you to try it before deciding to pledge.
