A Hat In Time Is Receiving A Physical Nintendo Switch Release

August 16, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Expect the 3D platformer to release on October 18, 2019.

A Hat In Time is a 3D platformer that originally released into the market back in 2017 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. However, the game will soon find its way onto the Nintendo Switch platform in the coming months. If you were hoping to take this popular platform on-the-go or have never experienced the game yet, you can expect the Nintendo Switch version to drop in October of this year.

It’s not a digital-only release either. A Hat In Time is releasing both as a digital version and physical copy as well. It’s worth knowing the difference between this two version as outside of just having a physical cartridge to use for your Nintendo Switch, the copy will also come packed with Seal the Deal, the DLC add-on that comes with new levels, cosmetic items among other goodies.

That’s not to say you can only get this DLC add-on through the physical version of A Hat In Time. Gamers interested in the DLC can still enjoy it but through a separate digital purchase if you don’t opt for the physical version. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, A Hat In Time follows a young girl named Hat Kid traveling space when her carrier loses fuel. As a result, Hat Kid must venture into new worlds as she attempts to reclaim her fallen fuel known as Time Pieces.

While the Nintendo Switch version of the game doesn’t launch until October 18, 2019, gamers can enjoy the title right now on either PC, PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One.
