Blair Witch came as a surprise announcement from the development studio Bloober Team. We know that the game will be based around the film franchise with the overall gameplay retaining the same found-footage style setup. While we’re waiting for more details about the game to release, new gameplay footage has released into the wild which gives you a better look at how the game will be played for those interested in jumping into this horror title.
From what we know so far, the game is about players searching for a local missing girl and this is done by searching the woods. Equipped at your side is a camcorder which is used to record and solve clues. Likewise, attached to the camcorder is a flashlight that can help showcase your pathway during darker areas of the map or as a means to combat the supernatural elements that haunt the woods.
You’re not going through this game alone. Alongside our protagonist is a dog named Bullet that you will need to take care of. However, if you’re wanting details on when you can pick this game up, Bloober Team’s Blair Witch is set to release on the Xbox One and PC platforms this August 30, 2019.
