If official gameplay trailers and videos explaining the new systems of NBA 2K14 just aren’t enough to satisfy your insatiable dribble-based hunger, don’t think you’ll remain hungry until the sports game launches in October. The 2013 GameStop Expo had a playable demo of the much improved annual release, and a video has just been discovered that features an entire quarter of basketball between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.
It’s a rematch of this year’s back-and-forth, heart-pounding Finals barely edged out by the Heat. The series went all seven games, and if you were like half of the Miami fans that attended game six, hope was pretty much all lost for LeBron and the crew before a game seven was even reached. However, the returning champions persevered, and somehow managed to walk away with yet another championship. The above game might not be as nerve shattering as what was seen on TV just months ago, but that doesn’t mean that there’s still not plenty to see in the demo footage.
NBA 2K14 will make its way to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Oct. 1 in North America and Oct. 4 in Europe, but if you’re looking to pick up the next-generation versions, you’ll just have to wait for an official announcement in the near future.
