While the PS4 previously announced their gameplay streaming capabilities through the Ustream service, Sony announced during their gamescom press conference that the PS4 will use Twitch.tv as well.
Using the DualShock 4's share button, players can begin almost instantly streaming gameplay footage for everyone to watch. Players can likewise watch other broadcasts directly from their PS4 consoles.
Oddly enough, Sony did not once mention Ustream during their gamescom press conference.
Unlike the Xbox One, Twitch functionality will work without a PS Plus subscription.
The PS4 will launch this November 15th and 29th.
