Insomniac Games Reveals Spider-Man Post Launch Content

August 28, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

The City That Never Sleeps DLC revealed.

If you own a PlayStation 4 then one of the upcoming exclusives that you should be keeping tabs about is Insomniac Games Spider-Man. This is a brand new adventure and story with the game narrative following a number of years of Peter Parker already being the web-slinging hero New York City is already familiar with.

The game will have players taking on the role of Spider-Man and Peter Parker in different scenarios which we can’t wait to get our hands on when the game officially launches. However, when the game does launch, there will be even more content to enjoy throughout the remainder of this year according to a post made on the official PlayStation blog.

Insomniac Games community director, James Stevenson, has recently posted on the official PlayStation blog where it was unveiled that three chapters will be released post-launch. This post-launch content will be part of the DLC known as Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps.

Overall, there will be three parts released starting in October and ending in December. Each part will focus on a character Spider-Man is familiar with such as this first release known as The Heist in October. Within The Heist, Spider-Man will be dealing with Felicia Hardy, or otherwise known as Black Cat. Black Cat will be leaving players clues that she’s in the city in the full game, but she won’t actually show until Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps launches.

You can pick up the upcoming Spider-Man video game exclusively on the PlayStation 4 this September 7, 2018, while the DLC will come in starting on October 23, 2018, for $9.99 per release or a bundle deal of $24.99.

Spider-Man will give players the ability to go through the narrative as not only as masked hero but as the civilian Peter Parker. From what we know from so far through trailers released, Spider-Man’s main antagonist will be Mister Negative, who turns out to be Martin Li, one of New York’s prominent philanthropist and owner of the F.E.A.S.T. shelters.
