End of Nations used to be a real-time strategy game. It's not anymore. It's a MOBA now. As Petroglyph no longer has a hand in its development, Trion Worlds has decidedly turned the game into what they're calling a "tactical MOBA." It's like League of Legends or DOTA 2 but with cars and tanks.
The game previously spent a year in closed beta as a massively multiplayer RTS before being unceremoniously shut down by its publisher. Its developers were ditched to the wayside and the game's development went into silent mode internally at Trion Games. It's since resurfaced with the launch of a beta sign-up site showcasing some of the game's playable vehicles, which includes The Judge, Colonel Boze, Sidewinder, Decibel, and Hippocrates. All the aforementioned vehicles can swap between vehicle forms and humanoid forms. Think Transformers.
Here's what the developers have to say:
“End of Nations is a tactical MOBA where your success on the battlefield depends on the heroes and units you command and quick decision making in the heat of combat,” they write. “Dominate during team-based matches and catapult your commander to the top of the ranks.”
Okay then. Sign up here.
