GTA 5 Image Discovered Within Red Dead Redemption

June 6, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

The latest Grand Theft Auto 5 screen shows the calm before a crime-riddle storm.

Every new morsel of information regarding the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 feels like a gift. Sure, we’ll be able to hop into the game’s massive open world, which was displayed through a fan-created map last week, in just a few short months. But we’re really bad at sitting here and waiting patiently for what could be the current generation’s swan song. So instead of twiddling our thumbs and reading old information, let’s all take a look at a brand new image from the game that shows a heist in action.

Every good crime-themed adventure needs a heist, right? It’s been done in past GTA games, and it looks as if the three main men of this story will be pulling off a robbery or two within the campaign. You can see the above characters wearing some sort of gas masks, so it’s likely this isn’t your average hold up. The people within the bank are about to get a face full of a chemical that the bad guys aren’t too excited to breathe in themselves.

Where was it found? Somehow, according to the GTA forums, it was within the Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition. The quality may not be the best in this particular shot (it was taken from a phone), but the previews that released recently claim that the game looks as good as it does in the trailers. There’s full depth-of-field and other cinematic effects that will wow players, and while it’s not being planned for the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4, the graphics look very next-gen. Grand Theft Auto 5 will arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Sept. 17.
