A recent Sony Playstation Vita Portable Console stream has shown that when the remake of Final Fantasy X is released for the Sony Playstation Vita Portable Console, there will be massive improvements in the way that it looks over the original version.
The development time that Square-Enix have spent making the graphics better will result in a game that is much better looking. Better looking than it had previously been.
When you read “HD” at the end of the name “Final Fantasy X HD”, be aware that this initialism denotes that the new version is in “High Definition”. In this instance the two words signify that the texture assets are of greater resolution in this upcoming release than they were when the game first came out in 2001 (more than a decade ago. It is 2013 now). A team has improved these assets to a greater standard than they were before and that has been implemented into this game.
You will likely look at the completed product that they have spent their budget improving the graphics of and say “this looks nicer than I remember” or possibly, if this update is your entry to the experience, not see this as straying from your already pre-existing standards of what a modern video game looks like. It will not be a modern video game, though, it is an older one with improved graphics.
No release date has been given for this better looking remake of an already existing game already available in stores, but the game’s producer suggests we “wait for that”. The wait will be worth it, because when you play it later you will see that the graphics have been improved, the textures have higher resolution and the game will look better.
