EA Releasing Dead Space 3 Branded Watch

February 4, 2013 by Alex Co

EA is kicking Dead Space 3’s marketing into overdrive by offering a Dead Space-themed watch!

Dead Space 3's release is but a day away and EA doesn't just want you to play the game, they're also enticing franchise fans with a Dead Space-themed watch.

EA is now accepting pre-orders of the timepiece, which is being made by Meister Watches and will be called the "CEC Engineer-Class Timepieces,"

Here's the full product specification:

Manufactured by independently-owned and operated Los Angeles-based company Meister Watches (MSTR), here is the first Dead Space watch.

Features:

  • Copper Stainless Steel Bezel —resistant to corrosion and staining—and composed of 316L NASA grade steel

  • Black Rubber Strap with Stainless Steel Buckle

  • Carbon Fiber (Dual Layer) Dial

  • Stainless Crown and Functional Protector

  • Each Laser-Etched Backcase individually numbered, with Dead Space 3 Logo

  • 47mm x 14.5mm thick Case

  • Japanese 3-Hand and Date Quartz Movement

  • 100M Water Resistant

  • 2-Year Warranty on all watches with customer/repair service through Meister directly.

Aspiring Isaac Clarke wannabes should place a pre-order now as only 500 of these bad boys will be out in the market and will come with a Dead Space 3 laser-etched logo and an individual number.

Here's what the watch's back looks like (via AGB):

So, how much will it cost to own a watch that Isaac Clarke wears in game (yes, he does)? Try $265. If that doesn't deter you, pre-orders can be placed on EA's official gear site.

For more gaming-oriented Dead Space 3 news, EA has just announced that the demo, which is now out on PSN and Xbox LIVE, has amassed over two million downloads to date.

What do you think? It's not ugly, but is it worth $265 just to have a watch that Isaac Clarke wears in the game?

Dead Space 3 is set to hit tomorrow for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Thanks, VG247
