Dead Space 3 Story Trailer Depicts Romance, Horror, and Death

Jan 31, 2013 Ian Miles Cheong

Dead Space 3 will be Isaac Clarke's darkest journey yet.

EA Games and Visceral have released a new trailer for Dead Space 3, this time to showcase the game's on-going story. Dead Space 3 sees the series' protagonist Isaac Clarke head to the icy planet of Tau Volantis.

Teaming up with the space marine John Carver, Clarke and his new partner must battle against Necromorphs while fending off incursions from the Unitologist who seek to capture the Marker on the planet for their own ends.

The trailer, made almost entirely in CGI, sees Isaac Clarke waking up after the events of the second game. It begins with Clarke's journey to Tau Volantis with Ellie Langford, and ends with a Unitologist preaching on about how humanity can be remade whole with the Marker.

The trailer shows a variety of scenes in which Clarke and Carver will find themselves, including getting swallowed by a giant worm-like necromorph.

In addition to an all new story, Dead Space 3 will feature a number of game modes to increase its replay value and turn it into a genuine survival horror experience.
