Players of Assassin's Creed 3 will soon be able to unleash their hidden blades upon George Washington—or at least a historical simulacrum thereof, better known as "King George" in an upcoming expansion pack.
In the DLC, titled "The Tyranny of King Washington", players will be tasked with assassinating a Washington who declares himself regent of America after being driven mad by the power of the Apple of Eden. Set as a three-part tale, the first episode, titled "The Infamy" will be available on February 19 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
A description of the expansion follows:
"In the first episode of the Tyranny of King Washington series, our hero, Connor Kenway, awakens from an unsettling dream to find that, despite his efforts to deliver justice in the newly-founded United States of America, a new king has been crowned – George Washington. The Infamy will take gamers through the beginning of the journey to dethrone this new king."
The upcoming episodes are available through the Assassin's Creed 3 Season Pass, available for $29 or 2400 MS Points. Each episode is also available separately for $9.99 or 800 MS Points.
Ubisoft informs us that the downloadable content will also be available on the Wii U.
