Namco Bandai has just confirmed the release date for their upcoming title, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, for North America, Europe and Australasia. It's set for release on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 5 in the US and on March 8 in Europe and Australasia.
The title, which is known as Naruto Storm 3 for short, is set to take place after the events of the second game and is a part of the popular Naruto Shippuden anime/manga. The game offers a single-player adventure with over 80 playable characters, and advanced online modes.
According to its developers, Naruto Storm 3 is set to offer the most extensive character roster of any game so far in the series, allowing players to engage with any of their favorite characters from the universe, who are made up of both good guys and bad guys. For the first time ever in the series, players will also be able to relive the entire Naruto Shippuden series as it airs in Japan and streams online and is up to date with the on-going storyline.
The game also allows for user-created tournaments to allow players to set up friendly matches against their friends, complete with player cards that log win/loss records and favorite fighting styles.
