Believe it or not, but the whole business about building stuff in Minecraft was never intended to be the primary focus. It's just something that early adopters gravitated towards with much enthusiasm, and the game's developers ended up fleshing out like crazy, perhaps more so than what was originally envisioned.
The PC version was recently updated to accommodate a host of new features and elements, including The End, which is a stark, empty plane containing a large floating island that's formed from End Stone, a super rare and super durable substance.
The End is also populated by, appropriately enough, the Enderman. Though the lone Ender Dragon is the real highlight since he represents the first actual boss. You know, the kind you see in most games.
Well, The End is also coming to the XBLA version of the game, according to Official Xbox Magazine in the UK. It will be included in the upcoming Title Update 8.
But first, we still have Title Update 7 to get through, which will carry over most of the features found in the PC version 1.0.1. This includes an experience system, potion brewing, animal breeding, and jungles, among other things. All of which will make it feel more like a "normal" game, though you can still craft your heart out.
Back to experience points: new levels are awarded for every 30 points earned, and not 50, as in the PC version. Therefore, it'll be easier to rank up in the Xbox 360 version than on the PC. Not sure how those on the latter side might feel about that.
Unfortunately no release date for Title Update 7 has been given, though considering how 8 is already being worked on by the sounds of it, it can't be too far off.
