Square Enix has released a batch of fresh Tomb Raider screens and while now new info has been revealed, it doesn't even really need to, as the screenshots themselves show us what we can expect when the game hits next year.
In the first screen, we can see Lara hiding from a potential threat. Interesting to point out is she looks hurt and I'm guessing this is a cut-scene of some sort since she's positioned "weirdly."
In the next screen, we see Lara helping a certain someone out. I don't know about you, but the guy looks like he's up to no good.
In the next two shots, we see Lara going inside a burning structure, and in the next, there seems to be an explosion of sorts. Are they connected? Sure seems like it.
In the screen below, we get to see Lara do some actual tomb raiding. It's refreshing to see that it won't just be random action sequences stringed together, no?
Not a fan of raiding and exploring? Well, in this next one, Lara stalks her enemy instead of being the usual victim in the videos we've seen.
Crystal Dynamics also gives us a look at the in-game weapon system in the next screenshot. Players will be able to mod their weapons but they need to find its parts before they can do so.
Finally, we see Lara fighting against a wolf. Not sure if this is a cut-scene or a Quick-Time Event (QTE) and if it's happening in-game, that's going to be one hell of a moment.

Are you liking what you've seen so far? Hopefully, Crystal Dynamics has enough to make Tomb Raider give the franchise a new lease on life.
Tomb Raider is set to ship in March of 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3.
