If you're one of the million Halo 4 players out there, Microsoft has just released the Episode Five trailer for Halo 4's Spartan Ops to whet appetites. Spartan Ops is, of course, Halo 4's episodic content that has breaks down each mission into "episodes" to give competitive multiplayer fans some respite and squad-up to take down a common goal.
In Episode Five, 343 Industries states that "secrets are revealed, trusts are betrayed and Sangheli leader Jul'Mdama's ultimate plan nears success." Join the Spartans as they attempt to rescue one of their own as Infinity's command crew makes a discovery that changes everything we know about the Forerunner Prometheans.
While the trailer doesn't show one lick of gameplay, does it really even need to? Halo 4 fans already bought the game and for those who are already enjoying Spartan Ops, I imagine a bit more exposition is more important now than a few seconds of gameplay, no?
Episode Five is set to be released tomorrow for Halo 4 fans once Microsoft does their weekly Xbox LIVE update. Just head on over to Spartan Ops mode and once the content's live, you should be able to access it straightaway.
Are any of you liking Spartan Ops so far or should 343 Industries stick to competitive multiplayer? With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a season two right after things wrap up, no?
