ZombiU is a Wii U launch game, so it's already been out for more than a week in the U.S. But at least players in the U.K., who have to wait until tomorrow to pick up their consoles and a copy of this game, get a different launch trailer for their version. That makes up for the twelve-day wait, right?
Unlike the U.S. launch trailer for the game, this one, also available in several other European languages, features live action. The quality of the acting isn't incredible, but it does the job of telling the story and giving you a good idea of what to expect from the game itself. Look after your ammo, the endangered man tells us, and reminds us that the zombies will just keep coming, so “whack the shit out of them” with your baseball bat.
What the trailer doesn't show, however, is the GamePad functionality. You get a glimpse of the in-game character using his scanning device, but I guess the makers of the video wanted to give a sense of real horror – thus the real-life man playing a key role – and stepping out of the game to demonstrate the controls would have ruined that a little.
Those of you in the U.K., will you be picking up a copy of ZombiU tomorrow?
