Troy Baker to Reprise his Role as Talion in Middle-earth: Shadow of War; Will Extend Duties as New Performance Capture Director.

June 6, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Nice to see Troy Baker returning!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entrainment announced earlier today that the famed voice actor, Troy Baker, will be returning to reprise his role as Talion in Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

It has been presumed that Baker would reprise his role, but until today it has been unconfirmed. However, not only is Baker doing the voice acting as Talion will he will also have extended duties as the game’s Performance Capture Director.

It is pretty cool to see Troy Baker extending his skills and helping direct the game. Baker has been a pretty dominant voice in video games as of late. He has been in games like Persona 4, Arkham Origins, and the PS4 blockbuster Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The official description of Middle-earth: Shadow of War for those new to the series:

Set between the events of  The Hobbit and  The Lord of the Rings,  Middle-earth: Shadow of War  is an open-world action RPG that continues the original narrative of  Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.

In recent news, Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed to October. The title was originally set to release on August 22, but it seems that the game needs a little more time. We’ve been seeing plenty of gameplay from the upcoming sequel, you can check out the recently released open-world trailer here, the new predator skill tree gameplay video here, and 16-glorious minutes of action-oriented gameplay right here.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10.
