Most of what Ubisoft has shown off regarding Splinter Cell Blacklist was more action-packed than what we're normally used to when it comes to Sam Fisher's missions.
Well, I think Ubisoft has heard the complaints as they've now released a new video for Splinter Cell Blacklist called "Closer than Ever." In it, we get to see Sam Fisher go back to his roots when it comes to stalking his prey. So, nope. Don't expect any guns or shootouts in this one.
According to Ubisoft, this video will kick-off an upcoming plethora of "stealth-related" content. So, stealth fans, expect more footage in the coming weeks.
Here's the short one-minute vid narrated by Community Developer Zack Copper:
It's definitely a step in the right direction. Although, I do admit, I still want to hear Michael Ironside's deep voice as Sam Fisher.
For those wary of Splinter Cell Blacklist being a shooter, Ubisoft has gone on record to state that they're combining the franchise's old gameplay with new stuff they learned along the way. I'm guessing this means you'll be able to play the game by shooting everybody in sight or hiding in the shadows like in previous Splinter Cell games.
Should Splinter Cell go back to its roots or was Splinter Cell Conviction a good revamp of the series' gameplay?
