Gameranx first reported on The Disney Afternoon Collection (Capcom’s nostalgia infused medley of games) just over a month ago. Today, six of the classics are releasing across a range of platforms with fresh, improved visuals as well as the ability to toggle over to a more retro aesthetic – if that’s more of your thing.
The collection includes: Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin. Included in the remastered versions of the games are new modes, Boss Rush and Time Attack, time-based challenges which come with online leaderboards. There’s also a new ‘Rewind’ feature that adds a bit more leniency to the the experience for newcomers, allowing players to turn back time and mop over any accidental mistakes.
The Disney Afternoon Collection is available through Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store for just $19.99 USD. Please excuse me while I go and watch an MS-DOS playthrough of Ducktales in preparation.
