The Ghostbusters (2016) Story Pack includes 6 new levels for Abby Yates and the rest of the Ghostbusters crew to explore. There are 10 minikits and 1 minifig rescue per level — that’s a total of 60 minikits and 6 rescues for the whole expansion.
You’ll need more than just the Ghostbusters to get these minikits. We’ll explain which powers you’ll need to unlock every optional path, and always check the “?” block to learn which characters can activate (or break!) strange LEGO objects. Punching the “?” block also allows you to use the Hire-A-Hero system. If you don’t have the right character for-real, you can spend in-game studs to unlock any hero for a short amount of time.
Level 2: Ghostbusting!
Minikit #1:
- Required Powers: Magic
- Location: Seward Street Station – Right at the start of the level, near the turn-style entrance into the subway station, use a magical character on the glowing blue sparkles — Gandalf is always a good choice. You’ll move the vent cover and reveal an easy minikit.
Minikit #2:
- Required Powers: Super Strength
- Location: Seward Street Station – Once you enter the purple ghost dimension, look for an orange handle to the left of the exit door — that’s the path that leads down the stairs. Use B.A. Baracus, Bane, or any other super-powered character to pull the orange handle. Rebuild the hopping bricks to create a shiny minikit.
Rescue:
- Required Powers: Agility Poles
- Location: Seward Street Station – In the yellow-ish section of the ghost dimension, look on the back wall for two agility pole slots. Use an archer like Legolas to shoot arrows into the round slots, then pole vault up to Paul Feig to rescue him.
Minikit #3:
- Required Powers: Target Shooting, A-Team Master Build
- Location: Seward Street Station – After escaping the ghost dimension, you’ll be back in the regular station. Run toward the foreground and across the tracks to find a LEGO box with a target on it. Shoot the target and an A-Team Master Build will appear. Only B.A. Baracus can use this one — complete the Master Build challenge and use the new train — continue to use each spot where a white marker appears. Keep going until you automatically collect a minikit!
Minikit #4:
- Required Powers: BMO
- Location: Seward Street Station – Only BMO can use the BMO station in the back-right corner of the station, to the right of the Charge Transfer area. Finish the “Kompy’s Kastle” mini-game to earn yourself a minikit.
Minikit #5:
- Required Powers: Flight
- Location: Seward Street Station – Drop down to the tracks near the BMO station and move right. Fly up into the hole in the brick wall above where the Ghostbusters fell from. The Wicked Witch, Superman, or others can fly up there and grab the missing minikit.
Minikit #6:
- Required Powers: Silver LEGO Blowup
- Location: The Stonebrook Theatre – To the left of the LEGO elevator and near the locked (and possessed!) cabinet, blast the silver LEGO cupboard to find a minikit.
Minikit #7:
- Required Powers: X-Ray Vision
- Location: The Stonebrook Theatre – On the main stage, directly beneath the lead singer, look for a white marker where you can use X-Ray Vision. Use vision to properly match the tiles and a tiny Stonehenge model will appear. This is totally an amazing “This Is Spinal Tap” Easter egg, and a minikit will appear after the short cutscene.
Minikit #8:
- Required Powers: Destroy Cursed Red LEGO
- Location: The Stonebrook Theatre – To the right of the main stage, look for a red cursed LEGO object that Finn (of Adventure Time fame) can slice through using his cool sword. Do it to chase a ghost away and make a minikit appear.
Minikit #9:
- Required Powers: Relic Detector, Grapple
- Location: The Stonebrook Theatre – To the left of the stage, there’s a purple sparkle where Wyldstyle can use her Relic Detector. Do it to make an orange grapple handle appear — put it down with Batman and build the hopping bricks to create a LEGO Dimensions device. Enter the magenta portal to find the minikit above the stage.
Minikit #10:
- Required Powers: None!
- Location: The last minkit appears after breaking all five flyer piles. One is where Wyldstyle used the Relic Detector, one is on the left below the stage, one is to the right of the stage (foreground), one is to the right of the drummer, and one is in the back-left corner above the stage. Get all five and the minikit will appear.
