Modern Warfare 3 Review Round-Up

November 8, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Gameranx takes a thorough look at the release day reviews of Modern Warfare 3, the latest game in the Call of Duty franchise.

The much-awaited and incredibly hyped Modern Warfare 3 has been released to great fanfare from both gamers and critics alike. Garnering over 9 million pre-orders, Modern Warfare 3 may well be the highest grossing game of all time. Destructoid's Jim Sterling awarded the game a scintillating score of 9.5, calling it "a gorgeously produced package that gives military shooter fans exactly what they want."

Meanwhile, Joystiq's Mike Schramm praised the game for its moving single player campaign and enjoyable multiplayer. Schramm mourns the game's imperfections, simply because of how damn good the game is.

Modern Warfare 3 is now available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC where dedicated servers have made a strong return to the franchise.

It's a pity my gut feeling says to wait for Skyrim.
