10 Weirdest Secret Enemies We Just Had To Find (& Defeat)

September 1, 2020 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Join us as we hunt down 10 secret enemies that absolutely nobody found the first time.

Killer Flowers, Cuddly Bears & Pink Unicorns [Diablo 3]

Let’s pivot from the creepy to the cuddly. Diablo 3 was criticized for its cartoony aesthetic back before it released, and the developers at Blizzard must’ve taken those criticisms pretty hard — because they created an entire bonus world that’s 100% bright colors. Whimsyshire is the Secret Cow Level of Diablo 3, and it’s full of some truly spectacular unique enemies.

You’ll have to fight happy flowers, teddy bears, and pink unicorns. There’s a whole slew of silly creatures for you to slaughter, and like the Secret Cow Level from Diablo 2, this was a pretty great place to farm for loot. This isn’t just a silly Easter egg, it serves a useful function for farmers! Well, until later expansions and updates basically made it obsolete. It’s still a fun place to visit — and unlocking it is way easier on consoles.

Something Truly Evil [World of Horror]

World of Horror dangles bad decisions in front of you and dares you to make the worst choices possible. That’s all part of the fun! And summoning Something Truly Evil is probably one of the worst choices you can make. This unique monster will only appear if you’ve increased its ‘attraction’ by completing different in-game events.

All the events are centered on your apartment complex. By visiting your neighbors and exploring the grounds, you can find hints of ‘Something Truly Evil’ — and the game let us know before the monster was even in the game! Getting an indicator was enough to pique our interests, and now we can finally fight it by making even more bone-headed decisions and tempting fate.

The monster itself is a strange being with no visible face. It just has a set of eyes in a black void, and it’s incredibly powerful. This is the toughest monster in the game. Defeating it earns you an in-game achievement, but nothing else that’s worth all the trouble of actually killing it. We just had to see what ‘something truly evil’ was! And we’re not disappointed.
