#4 Last Oasis

  • Platforms: PC
  • Release: March 26, 2020 (Early Access)

Set in a survival world where players take on the role of a nomad, you will find yourself stranded in a world where the planet has stopped rotating. As a result, two halves become inhabitable where one side is scorching hot and the opposite end is stuck in a snowy tundra. Now only a small section can sustain life which pins players into the task of making your way towards the area.

The land is full of hostiles from creatures to other players. You’ll need to seek out resources to stay alive and maintain your transportation. Using the power of wind, players will be able to create and make upgrades to their wooden vehicles known as Walkers. However, you’ll need to be on your toes as you’ll have a tough journey ahead. You never really know who you can trust in the wild as well since other players are hoping to gather resources as well. There’s also a player-driven economy as well which should help the community to decide on what resources are worth when trading. Currently, the game is available, although only in an Early Access form. We may see the full release happen in 2021, but there is no confirmation quite yet on when the game will exit Steam’s Early Access.

#3 Doom Eternal

  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO, NS
  • Release: March 20, 2020 (Excluding NS)

Within Doom Eternal, players will pick up after the events of the 2016 reboot Doom where Earth has become invaded by hell’s inhabitants. Roaming free, Doom Slayer may be humanity’s last hope. As a result, you’ll be back home and breaking the backs of any hostiles you come across. There are even a few new mechanics being placed in Doom Eternal that you might be interested in. Take for example a new mechanic that will visually show the enemies quickly decaying when you attack them.

You can also expect an overall harder gameplay experience too. With less focus of strictly combat, id Software brought in some platforming mechanics as well to give players a different kind of challenge. It’s clear that this new take on the Doom franchise has been a hit and with this new installment, players can battle against demons and strive to restore the world back to its rightful state. We’ll of course refrain from spoiling anything too much about the title, but since this game is available right now you can check out our Before You Buy coverage right up above. We offer some non spoiler gameplay footage along with our overall thoughts on the title.
