The Best PlayStation 4 Games That Are Now Dirt Cheap

January 27, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Grab these great video game titles for your PlayStation 4 library.

#10 Doom
  • PSN $19.99

Doom is an iconic franchise that sparked interest and a bit of controversy when it launched in 1993. Now, decades later, the game franchise received a much-needed facelift with a completely new reboot known simply as Doom.

The reboot launched in 2016 and thankfully the developer’s id Software did an incredible job at making a true reboot of the franchise. This is a flesh and blood torn massacre for the demons as our protagonist, Doom Guy, unleashes a hell that even the demons weren’t prepared for.

Most often when video games feature demons or any type of creature, there’s a bit of survival horror element tossed into the narrative, but that’s not the case for Doom. Instead, gamers are humanity’s last hope for survival and you’ve got no problem ripping apart limbs off demons or blasting them away with a BFG 9000.

#9 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
  • PSN $19.99

Uncharted was such a massive trilogy of video games on the PlayStation 3. This is an action-adventure title where players take on the role of Nathan Drake as he embarks on grand journey all over the world in search of historical treasures. Oftentimes Nathan is found going toe-to-toe with another corporation and a slew of supernatural oddities.

This is a fantastic collection of video games that includes an overhaul on the first three video game titles. If you have yet to play the games on the PlayStation 3 then we highly recommend picking up this collection for the PlayStation 4.

#8 Night In The Woods
  • PSN $19.99

Night in the Woods is another title that has become a favorite for fans of the adventure genre. Within the game, players take on the role of a young character by the name of Mae who dropped out of college.

Now back at her hometown and living with her parents, Mae discovers how much time has passed which changed not only her hometown but the friends that she grew up with. This adventure title quickly takes Mae into the woods where she begins to uncover a hidden secret that the town kept long ago.

Digging deeper into the history of Possum Springs, Mae will learn of the reason the coal mines were officially shutdown and the disappearance of her childhood friend.

#7 Wolfenstein: The New Order
  • PSN $19.99

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a reboot of the iconic Wolfenstein franchise. The game puts players into an alternate universe where the world has successfully been taken over by the Nazis party. Overall, the game focuses on BJ Blazkowicz, a man who was once on death row but managed to escape and join the resistance to fight off the Nazis and regain a peaceful regime.

#6 Tomb Raider
  • PSN $19.99

Tomb Raider has been around for years since its release on the original PlayStation. However, developers Crystal Dynamics gave the video game title a proper reboot showing Lara Croft as a vulnerable young woman trapped alone on a hostile island. It’s through this adventure title that Lara Croft becomes the famed tough Tomb Raider. Likewise, with the definitive edition, you’ll receive a more enhanced and better looking title than when it originally released on last generation consoles.
