The Very Best Xbox One Exclusives You Need To Play

November 7, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

The very best Xbox One exclusives of the last five years!

#10 Halo 5: Guardians
  • Developer: 343 Industries
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios

Halo 5: Guardians is currently the latest main installment to the Halo franchise. Under the new development team, 343 Industries, fans of the franchise was given a slightly different take to a Halo game. Instead of the main focus being Master Chief, players were split between our beloved hero and a new team of Spartan’s.

It seemed that Master Chief had suddenly gone rogue leaving a new team to track and discover what is going on with the famed supersoldier. There was also some slight changes to the gameplay mechanics and while this title was received with positive reviews, the game wasn’t the most welcomed installment of the series for longtime fans.

With that said, if you have yet to try the game out then we recommend giving it a go today.

#9 Rare Replay
  • Developer: Rare
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios

If you enjoyed the old school Rare developed video games then you should definitely give Rare Replay a purchase. This is one of those few select titles that’s not available on the Windows 10 platform.

Essentially, Rare Replay is a compilation disc that contains thirty video game titles that were developed under Rare. You’ll find video games such as Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, and Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Decades worth of Rare video games are included making it a great bang for your buck purchase.

#8 Gears of War 4
  • Developer: The Coalition
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios

The Gears of War franchise has been popular since it first debuted on the Xbox 360. Years later the game series received its fourth main installment that followed years after the events of Gears of War 3.

Players this time around took control of J.D. Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix, who is a member of the COG army. With the world out of fossil fuels and new terrors lurk outside of city sanctuaries, COG must continue to keep humanity safe. However, new rebellious groups seeks a world that is rid of the COG reign.

#7 Gears 5
  • Developer: The Coalition
  • Publisher: Xbox Game Studios

Gears of War 5, which is also known simply as Gears 5, will follow a female protagonist Kait Diaz as she embarks away from COG, or known as The Coalition of Ordered Governments army. Within the game, Kait has been dealing with visions that may take her journey to showcase truth behind the origins of the Locust. As you progress through the narrative, you start to unravel more truth to your family lineage but we’ll, of course, refrain from spoiling anything here.

Gameplay, as you can expect, plays a lot like the previous installments. Players will be going through cover-based combat while also sawing through hostilities. This game, much like other video game titles on this list offer a multiplayer component but you can still enjoy the game as a single-player experience.

#6 Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • Developer: 343 Industries
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios

Bungie really created a hit when they first released Halo: Combat Evolved. With the game franchise under the care of 343 Industries we had received a remasetered collection known as Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
