Top Upcoming Xbox One Games in 2019

Jun 19, 2019 Dennis Patrick

The best upcoming Xbox One games of 2019.

Gears of War 5
  • Developer: The Coalition
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios
  • Platforms: XBO, PC
  • Release: 2019

Gears of War 5, which is also known simply as Gears 5, will follow a female protagonist Kait Diaz. So far what we know about the game is that the story will follow Kait as she embarks away from COG, or known as The Coalition of Ordered Governments Army. Apparently, within the game, Kait has been dealing with visions that may take her journey to showcase truth behind the origins of the Locust.

Gameplay seems to be inline with the past installments. Players will be going through cover-based combat while also sawing through hostilities.

Battletoads
  • Developer: Rare
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios
  • Platforms: PC, XBO
  • Release: 2019

Microsoft E3 2018 unveiled that a brand new Battletoads game is in the works. This is a classic beat ’em up series but very few details are ready to be unleashed into the public. As a result, the game announcement came without gameplay but we can expect a three-player co-op experience.

Crackdown 3
  • Developer: Reagant Games, Sumo Digital
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios
  • Platforms: PC, XBO
  • Release: February 22, 2019

Crackdown 3 is another video game title we’ve been patiently waiting to release and it seems that 2019 will be the year that the game will be ready to hit store shelves. Players will once again step into the shoes of an agent who is dealing with a new terrorist organization.

Players will find that the game is centered around destruction as the game is filled with structures and buildings that can be completely demolished. With gamers waiting a number of years now since the release of Crackdown 2, we’re hoping that the gameplay experience can match the hype and anticipation built up for the game.

Jedi: Fallen Order
  • Developer: Respawn Entertainment
  • Publisher: Electronic Arts
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2019

The development team responsible for Titanfall has been working on an untitled Star Wars project for a few years now. Until E3 2018, we have been kept in the dark when it comes to the story and gameplay experience players can expect from the title.

While we still don’t have any gameplay footage, screenshots or even a logo to properly showcase for the game, we do know the title is Jedi: Fallen Order. This will be a single-player game that is set after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith as players take on the role of a surviving padawan that is being hunted down.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts
  • Developer: CI Games
  • Publisher: CI Games
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2019

CI Games is bringing out a new installment to the Sniper franchise. Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts has been announced for a release in 2019. The game will feature a number of missions that not only have the main objective but a few small secondary objectives to complete. Likewise, the development team is making a few small refinements.

For instance, the game will be dropping the open world environment that was present in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. However, the gameplay will still give players more of a choice on how they complete their mission. This may also bring over some additional replay value to different missions. Currently, there are not too many fine details regarding the upcoming installment to the Sniper series, but we’ll keep you updated on the latest.
