While the 2015 release of Star Wars: Battlefront received positive reviews, fans were displeased with a number of aspects. It’s because of these critical remarks from fans that the development team DICE, has the ability to once again, go back and craft a Star Wars: Battlefront video game that will satisfy fans.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has been confirmed to be in development, but has yet to receive an official announcement. While news is still scarce in regards to the upcoming sequel, new statements were made by EA CFO Bale Jorgensen in regards to the current project.
The statements come from a report by GameSpot in which we learn that the upcoming sequel will be dramatically larger than the 2015 release of Star Wars: Battlefront. Likewise, gamers can expect to see plenty of new characters which appear in the latest Star Wars film releases.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen went on to say that the development team is having plenty of fun as the Star Wars universe is so vast to build games on. Though we’ll have to wait until Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is officially announced to see what all we can expect from the game, it has been stated that the sequel will have a single-player campaign, which was missing in the original 2015 release.
Likewise, the EA CFO also spoke of BioWare’s upcoming IP which will more sci-fi based. You can read our report on the new upcoming IP right here.
