Valve, the developer of popular titles such as Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead and DOTA 2 are currently working on three virtual-reality titles – reportedly, these titles will be full-sized experiences as opposed to the bite-size demonstrations that the company featured in Valves The Lab.
Company founder Gabe Newell discussed the foray of the company into virtual-reality as part of a press release in Seattle.
Newell stated: “What we can do now [is] to be designing hardware at the same time that we’re designing software. This is something that Miyamoto [of Nintendo] has always had.”
We have already gotten a peek at the new VR hardware that is going to enable us to play these games.
Newell suggests that these developments in virtual reality will be necessary to push gaming forward in the future.
