Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Caesar I, and Caesar II are now available on GOG. Each game is available for $5.99 USD/4.79 GBP/5.59 EUR/7.99 AUD, DRM free and working on modern OSs. These are the three classics that were missing from the City Building series published by Sierra. There is even some extra bonus content that has been added to the games.
Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom gives players the chance to build and develop an ancient kingdom across more than 3000 years of China’s history. During your reign you will be making economic, political, militaristic, and diplomatic decisions to deal with affairs that will either expand your kingdom or bring your reign to an end. The game was originally released in 2002 and is the last part of the City Building series.
With the addition of Caesar I and Caesar II, the ancient Rome themed series on GOG.com is complete. As a ruler, you are tasked with building better lives for your citizens and assuming the role as the next Caesar. These two games introduced rich historical context into the city-building strategy genre and paved the way for the subsequent games in the series.
To sweeten the deal, GOG.com has also launched The Grand City-Builders sale where you can grab your favorites like the SimCity series, Tropico series, Zeus + Poseiden, Evil Genius, and more for up to 80% off. The sale will last until February 13th at 2PM UTC.
