Sumo Digital’s serpentine 3D puzzle game Snake Pass will soon be representing all cold-blooded creatures on Nintendo Switch, and is set to be accompanied by the self described ‘threequel’ to the Jackbox Party Pack.
In Snake Pass, which is also planned for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, players must control a limbless snake called Noodle through a colourful system of environmental puzzles in order to reach the top of the mountain. It’s as if a packet of Allen’s Snakes Alive Lollies burst open and exploded inside a video game. The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is the third game in the series, which comes from the same people responsible for classic trivia series You Don’t Know Jack. It’s expected to release soon, and Snake Pass has less tentative window of early 2017.
As Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima recently confirmed, there are over 100 titles in development for the Switch. Although the likelihood of seeing games like Resident Evil 7 or Titanfall 2 is rather slim, there appears to be a relatively solid launch lineup consisting of classics from the Mario and Zelda franchises, along with homage to the RPGs of yesteryear I am Setsuna.
