Star Wars Battlefront released back in 2015 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. While the game sold over fourteen million copies, it did come with plenty of criticism from fans who felt that the video game lacked content and features, some of which were present in the original Star Wars Battlefront video game installments.
Today, thanks to a report on GameSpot, we have new details for Star Wars Battlefront 2. The upcoming sequel details were announced through an EA earnings call in which CEO Andrew Wilson made a few short announcements. For starters, the video game will be developed by DICE, which doesn’t come as much shock. However, it seems that the developers are adding in a single-player campaign.
The campaign doesn’t too many details out just yet, though we do know that this story narrative will apparently span through multiple Star Wars eras which may include Star Wars The Force Awakens along with Star Wars Rogue One. Neither installment was confirmed to be present in the sequel at the current moment.
This seems to be the only confirmation regarding the upcoming sequel right now. While the lack of a single-player campaign in Star Wars Battlefront was an issue for some gamers, there is also a slew of features that could be featured in the sequel.
There’s a good chance we’ll know more about the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2 video game during this year’s E3 expo. With that said, what are some features you’re hoping are either tweaked or added for the sequel? Let us know by leaving a comment down below.
