Rovio has finally announced a sequel to its multi-million selling Angry Birds IP. Now, people will get to play as the pigs in Bad Piggies! The sequel to the highly-popular casual game will let players take on the perspective of the pigs and with "all new, never-before-seen" gameplay! Yep, the slingshot will be taking a hiatus in Bad Piggies.
Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio had this to say in a press statement:
There's a lot of empathy towards the lovable enemies from the Angry Birds games, and we've been constantly asked: what about the pigs' side of the story? Bad Piggies gives you the chance to play as the second-most-loved characters in the Angry Birds universe, and explore this rich world through their green eyes.
Rovio hopes to continue Angry Birds' success which has reaped the studio with well over a billion downloads across multiple versions since release.
Bad Piggies will launch on September 27 for iOS, Android and Mac platforms, while Windows Phone, Windows 8 and PC versions are also in the planning stages. Of course, seeing as Angry Birds is almost available on anything with a screen, it's bound to pop up on your preferred platform of choice.
Are you one of the many who tried Angry Birds or you never saw its appeal in the first place?
