Dishonored 2‘s second free game update has dropped today, bringing with it additional Custom Difficulty Settings and Mission Select. Which are both features that will allow players more control over how they choose to play the game.
Dishonored 2 now expands on its first free update by offering players even more freedom of choice and options to adapt the game to their own play style. With the newly added Custom Difficulty settings, there are more than 20 different sliders to tailor every minute detail, from how long it takes sleep darts to take effect to how many active enemies will launch an attack on you.
A special slider is also included in the Custom Difficulty settings for those who truly are seeking out a challenge with Iron Mode. Toggle on Iron Mode, when starting a new game, and, without manual saves or loads, you must live with the consequences of your actions or face permadeath because of the path you have chosen.
In addition, Mission Select allows you to select and replay any mission you unlock after the update is installed. This allows you to retain the status of your playthrough at the start of that mission, so you can try to perfect your Clean Hands or Ghost run, for example. This is very useful since you won’t feel like you lost progress and you can just pick your playthrough right back up.
