BioWare’s upcoming installment to Mass Effect, Mass Effect: Andromeda is arguably one of the most anticipated video game title releases for this year. Lately, we’ve been hearing quite a bit of news regarding the upcoming video game title and it seems that developers BioWare is not done yet when it comes to their announcements for the game.
Today, thanks to a blog post made by BioWare’s general manager Aaryn Flynn, we now have an official release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Gamers can expect to see the upcoming Mass Effect installment on store shelves starting this March 21, 2017. This comes shortly after the title was listed under Microsoft’s Xbox Live Rewards website for a release this March 31, 2017, which we now know the date was likely kept as a placeholder.
Within the blog post, Aaryn stated that the developers from BioWare took home an early version of the video game which was called the “holiday build” in order to go through the progress of Mass Effect: Andromeda. There were even endorsements received from members of the studio who played key roles during the development of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
This is not the only shred of news released recently from BioWare when it comes to their upcoming title release. Earlier this week we got word that BioWare is currently polishing their animations when fans raised concern over the lack of facial details with the leading protagonist. Additionally, the development studio had confirmed that there are currently no plans on releasing a port of the game for Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Switch.
