The latest Assassin’s Creed game, codenamed Assassin’s Creed Empire, may be releasing on Nintendo Switch according to YouTuber OBE1plays.
The video is part of his ’12 Days of Switchmas’ series which aims to provide subscribers of the channel with exclusive news and updates on Nintendo’s console. About half way through, OBE1plays claims that a ‘legit inside source’ has confirmed that the rumoured Assassin’s Creed game will be a multi-platform release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Another OBE1plays video features a discussion with Laura Kate Dale, who has previously revealed insider details on the Nintendo Switch. Dale says there will be three Gamecube games available through Virtual Console on day one of the official Switch launch.
As for other franchises hopping onto the Switch bandwagon, BioWare Producer Mike Gamble says he is ‘not planning’ on a port of Mass Effect Andromeda, but may be swayed if fan demand is strong enough.
