The latest update announced for Nintendo’s Super Mario Run will enable players to compete against one another in a friendly multiplayer fashion. Entitled ‘Friendly Run’, the update is now available for the game on iOS devices.
Unlike Toad Rally, which pits players against strangers, Friendly Run is a PvP battle against friends that will earn you the satisfaction of winning as opposed to any sort of in-game rewards. You need to have at least one player on your friends list in order to play.
There are several limitations to Friendly Run: You can only play it once if you’ve not yet beaten World 1, but if you have, you can play it three times. Clearing World 2 allows you to play it up to five times.
Super Mario Run is currently the most downloaded app on the App Store, and has attracted nearly $40 million in revenue. For tips, tricks and walkthroughs on Super Mario Run, make sure you check out our guides.
