People Can Fly's (Bulletstorm) Creative Lead Adrian Chmielarz and two more management staff has left the studio and its parent company Epic Games.
The Poland-based studio, which is a subsidiary of Epic Games, has been working on Gears of War: Judgment for release next year.
This was revealed by Chmielarz himself over on Twitter, where he tweeted:
Gears fans, you're going to love Judgment. It's in great hands. And don't worry, you'll hear about my plans soon enough. 🙂
In addition, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have also left People Can Fly. Epic Games president Mike Capps has confirmed all three departures in a statement released to the press.
Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki have parted ways with People Can Fly and Epic Games in order to pursue other opportunities, which they will announce of their own accord. Over the past decade, they have been instrumental in building People Can Fly into the talented team that it is today. We wish them well in their future endeavors. People Can Fly remains excited to release Gears of War: Judgment to fans early next year.
All three have not confirmed where they will be working on next, but it wouldn't surprise me if they all end up in the same place.
Hopefully, this won't mean much other than these people wanting to branch out. Do you think Gears of War: Judgment will be alright or would it have been better for the creative lead and the others to finish the game first before heading out?
