“Make a game they said! It will be easy they said!”. It turns out game making isn’t as easy as some people think it is as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau quickly found out.To celebrate The Hour of Code, Justin Trudeau built himself a simple ice hockey game using the programming tool Code Studio.
The Hour of Code is a worldwide celebration of computer programming, coding, and general computer science. The purpose of the this is to introduce kids to programming at a young age. Technology is vital to our future, and it is imperative that the next generation is able to function in such a tech-savvy world.
“Every job we’re going to do in the future will rely on technology and be benefited if you are powerful users of the technology that surrounds us,”- said the Prime Minister, “This is part of making sure we have a great resource in terms of young people who understand how to code and understand how important it is,” he said.
Needless to say, Trudeau’s game won’t be winning any popularity contests anytime soon. A bug within the game will eventually flood players with thousands of pucks, decreasing memory space, and crashing your browser.
