State of Decay 2 Will be Both Bigger and Better?

December 5, 2016 by Jordan Coetsee

State of Decay 2’s world is set to be much bigger according to Undead Labs.

3165978-sod1Undead Labs are looking to apply the phrase “bigger is better” to their new game: State of Decay 2. According to the developer, State of Decay 2 will be a much larger world than the world players experienced in the first game. However Undead Labs were unwilling to specify the size and specifics of the new world:  “I know SoD fans are hungry for details on number and size of maps, regions, kilometers of playable area, etc, but we’re not quite ready for that. For now, suffice it to say that the playable area is substantially larger than State of Decay”.

State of Decay 2 is a four player co-op game, but what makes this game so unique is that each player has the ability to separate themselves from the other players and go off on their own. An aspect like this surely means that the world will be huge? Players can also turn the game into a PvP match. In such a setting players can use cunning tactics (such as attract zombies with noises) to take down the other player.

There is no release date for State of Decay 2, but it is expected sometime in 2017. The game will be drop on PC and Xbox One.
