The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has an exploding problem. Just a week since the company pulled the plug on its flagship mobile and taking huge losses, President Obama is now making jokes about it.
Speaking at an event on Thursday about Obamacare, the US President compared government programs like the Affordable Care Act to smartphones. If there are problems, then the government has to patch things up and fix it. “Unless it catches fire. Then they pull it off the market,” said Obama.

Samsung’s defective phones have caused a lot of damage for their owners, whose phones exploded while they were charging or simply in regular use. The battery overheats and promptly catches fire, sometimes without warning.
Even the replacement phones that Samsung sent out after the first batch of reports came in did not solve the issue, prompting the company to stop production entirely and recall everything.
Oculus Rift even issued a mandatory update for its mobile app to make it stop working on the phone, presumably to prevent injuries that could leave people blind if the phone exploded in their faces, or worse.
Yesterday, Samsung issued DMCA takedowns of videos that made fun of the Galaxy Note 7 through a mod in GTA 5.
