Fight through the streets of New York City as ghosts run amuck in Level 3 of the Ghostbusters (2016) Story Pack for LEGO Dimensions — and grab all the collectibles along the way with our complete guide. There are no secret rooms, but things get crazy when the Ice King and Dr. Robotnik show up just to cause trouble for our quartet of heroes.
The customary Paul Feig rescue appears early, while the minikits offer a range of unique challenges. You’ll need flying vehicles, short characters, Rainbow-smashers, and CHI-users to wipe this level clean of its collectibles. Learn where to go and what to do with the full guide below.
Don’t forget about the Hero-for-Hire system, and check out the complete list of Red Bricks (and their locations) on our LEGO Dimensions Red Bricks Guide.

The Ghostbusters (2016) Story Pack includes 6 new levels for Abby Yates and the rest of the Ghostbusters crew to explore. There are 10 minikits and 1 minifig rescue per level — that’s a total of 60 minikits and 6 rescues for the whole expansion.
You’ll need more than just the Ghostbusters to get these minikits. We’ll explain which powers you’ll need to unlock every optional path, and always check the “?” block to learn which characters can activate (or break!) strange LEGO objects. Punching the “?” block also allows you to use the Hire-A-Hero system. If you don’t have the right character for-real, you can spend in-game studs to unlock any hero for a short amount of time.
Level 4: Breaking the Barrier
Rescue:
- Required Powers: Silver LEGO Blowup, Master Build
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – On the city streets, look for a LEGO truck on the right side of the road. Blast the silver LEGO barring the trailer. Use the purple Master Build spot that appears to bust open the possessed cart and complete the rescue.
Minikit #1:
- Required Powers: Vent Access
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – Down the street, look for a wall of smoke. Near the smog, there’s a Vent Access that ghostly characters can fly through. Lumpy Space Princess or Slimer are good options! Enter the vent to appear inside a blue cage with this level’s first minikit.
Minikit #2:
- Required Powers: None!
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – This minikit is hidden in a dark alcove on the road where the Ecto-1 is covered in slime and surrounded by floating LEGO cars. Search closer to the foreground (from the car) and check the right side of the street for a dimly lit alley containing this minikit.
Minikit #3:
- Required Powers: Magic, Parseltongue
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – Enter the yellow-hued ghost dimension and look for the blue star sparkles against the back wall. Use magic to reveal a snake door that only Harry Potter (or Voldemort!) can open.
Minikit #4:
- Required Powers: Hacking, Flight
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – At the movie theater where there are ghosts lined up outside, hack the special terminal located near the cinema’s front doors. Complete the challenge and fly to the top of the popcorn sculpture to collect this minikit.
Minikit #5:
- Required Powers: None!
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – Go to the restaurant’s exterior and smash all the LEGO trees in the area. Break all four then construct the hopping bricks to create a minikit. This is the area at the far back, above the shuttered underground stairs.
Minikit #6:
- Required Powers: Flying Vehicle (Cargo Ability)
- Location: Ugly Little Spud – Smash all the objects along the restaurant area to the left of the underground stairs. Construct the two power cores, then insert them into the power slots with a flying vehicle — Wonder Woman’s Jet or the Joker’s Helicopter will work. Input both cores and the shutters will open, revealing a minikit.
Minikit #7:
- Required Powers: CHI
- Location: Paranormal Parade – To the right of the wall of ghosts at the parade, use a character with the CHI ability near the strange glowing pole LEGO object. Power up the CHI ability, then go to the CHI input by moving into the foreground and checking a right-hand side-alley. Charge the CHI station to get another minikit.
Minikit #8:
- Required Powers: Mini Access
- Location: Paranormal Parade – Still in the battle arena area, check the left wall where there’s a “PARKING” sign. Use the mini access vent beneath the sign. Gollum or other short characters can crawl inside here. Through the vent, there’s a Shrink/Grow LEGO Dimensions puzzle. Grow to pick up the missing maze parts and place them, or shrink then grow to lift up lowered sections of the maze. Enter the maze and flip all the switches to reach the end and collect the minikit.
Minikit #9:
- Required Powers: Rainbow LEGO Objects
- Location: Paranormal Parade – Left of the big boss float of the parade, look for a rainbow-colored LEGO object. Lumpy Space Princess or Unikitty can destroy these! Bust up that rainbow to make a minikit appear.
Minikit #10:
- Required Powers: None!
- Location: Paranormal Parade – To get the final minikit, destroy all three ghost table seating areas. There are three in the arena that the Ghostbusters can blast with their proton packs.
